Permission to Rest — a Free Guided Practice
According to Brené Brown, overwhelm is “an extreme level of stress and emotional or cognitive intensity to the point of feeling unable to function.“
When we’re in a state of overwhelm, there’s little capacity to take action, so all we can (and should!) do is rest and do nothing.
In our Western society it’s difficult to believe that we don’t have to earn our right to rest, but that it’s a necessity.
This 12-minute practice gives you permission to rest in a way that feels meaningful and nourishing.
It’s done lying down, so get comfortable and enjoy!
If you enjoyed this practice, I hope you’ll join my newsletter community here, where I send you weekly self-care nuggets as well as a free guided practice each month.
Lots of love
